What kind of health checkups may be helpful before landing in the US?

Study-Abroad

Students would do well to get the appropriate vaccinations and have their immunization certificates ready to submit by the time they are here. It is a mandatory requirement by universities. A student will not be allowed to enroll unless this certificate is provided. Some, who fail to bring the document will be forced to get vaccinated in the US. Typically, it is inexpensive in their home countries when compared to the US prices (even with insurance).

Further, students with other existing conditions (dental, vision etc)may want to get their check ups and necessary medication before travel. It is best to also have the prescription handy in case there are any inquires at the port of entry by the customs officers. Students would want to also research how to acquire medicines (homeopathy etc) as they are available for purchase in the US. Obviously, they are more expensive but are available.
